TMB Foundation

The Music Box Foundation is a 501C3 Non for profit organization founded in 2015. Since that time, we have provided hundreds of music scholarships for students & families in crisis. 

THE MUSIC BOX FOUNDATION EXPANSION:

We wanted to give you a little update on some very EXCITING things that are happening at The Music Box…

We are finally beginning Phase 1 of our studio expansion right next door, called "Studio B"! Our goal is to have this phase completed in Fall of 2024!

For those of you who are newer to our Music Box family, this has been a long time coming...

As many of you know, we have been partners in the community of Winter Springs/Oviedo for years! You may have seen us running the community stages, providing sound and hosting at events like Taste of Oviedo, Winter Springs' Hometown Harvest & Winter Springs' Winter Wonderland, to name a few. Community has always been at the heart of who we are & where we are headed.

In 2015, we started a non-for profit 501C3 division of our organization called, The Music Box Foundation. This started as a way to provide music scholarships to families and students in crisis.

The BIG news is we are NOW growing our Foundation to provide MORE for the community! We are expanding our studio to not only provide more space for existing programs & classes, but to create a community stage & rehearsal space that will provide opportunities such as: community choirs, open mic nights, karaoke, mommy & me classes, homeschool groups and more! We are also fundraising to support the growing need for music scholarships, as we have seen the benefits that music is to healing.

What’s currently happening & what’s to come…

(Phase 1: Estimated Completion Fall 2024)

-Studio expansion will add 1,000 additional square feet of space to our current studio!

-Adding the community stage/performance area to accommodate our performance groups & summer camps AS WELL as creating a space for community choirs, karaoke, mommy & me classes and open mic nights for our community! This space will be more separate from the majority of practice rooms in order to reduce distraction and will allow classes & events to be held regularly in this area without disrupting the flow of our other lessons.

-Adding additional practice rooms, including a new sound insulated drum space, where students can let loose and not have to worry about disrupting other lessons.

-Adding state of the art lighting and sound!!

(Phase 2: Estimated Completion January 2025)

-Current space will be redesigned and updated.

-Smaller practice rooms will be combined to create larger, more functional spaces.

-All practice rooms will be updated & additional sound insulation added.

-Additional instruments will be purchased to accommodate new lesson types being added.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 to support the expansion of our Phase 1 & Phase 2 studios and the programming of our Music Box Foundation. (The total estimated cost is around $100,000).

We will be fundraising from now through December and will close out our fundraiser with an incredible benefit recital concert, where ALL proceeds will go to support our expansion & our nonprofit Music Box foundation (please visit our website for more details about our foundation).
